Our Story:

Eli and Abbey’s story begins about six years ago, in the most romantic of places: the ΑΤΩ chapter room. (try not to swoon). Their paths crossed briefly then, but the real magic didn’t begin until a few years later, when fate — and a little bit of law school — brought them back together.

When Abbey started law school, Eli was sent to make an announcement before one of her classes. As he stood in front of the room, he saw her — the most beautiful girl to ever grace the earth, as he still says today — and was completely stunned. He forgot what he was supposed to say, but even now he remembers exactly how he felt.

Despite being completely smitten, Eli couldn’t quite work up the nerve to ask her out. That is, until fate intervened in the form of a dating app. One scroll, one swipe, and there she was: Abbey had swiped right. Eli was over the moon. He immediately messaged her — and then... nothing. Radio silence.

But Eli wasn’t one to give up that easily. After a week of dramatic waiting (and maybe a few pep talks), he worked up the courage to send her a Snapchat. To his delight, she actually replied.

Their first “hangout” took place at Eli’s house, where she managed to talk about torts for five straight hours (arguably the most romantic law school class according to Abbey). And then she left. Somehow, Eli didn’t run for the hills. Instead, he asked for another date and she agreed to go on a real date with him — one that didn’t include endless discussions of negligence standards.

That first date changed everything. Somewhere between the laughter and conversation, Eli knew: he’d found the girl he wanted to spend the rest of his life with.

Since then, their love story has been filled with late-night talks, spontaneous road trips, meeting each other’s families, and Eli earning the approval of Abbey’s first love — her dog, Wilson. From silly arguments over who’s the better cook (Abbey, obviously) to the unshakable commitment they’ve built together, every day has been a new chapter in the story they’re writing hand in hand.

On December 20th, Eli and Abbey will become one — finally making official what they’ve known in their hearts all along. They can't wait to celebrate this next chapter with all the people they love.
